Screen upgrading a t420..what works?

So I was REALLY pleased with my purchase.. it's running stunningly well and with the i7 on it's way it'll be even better soon.
That was until I fired up Acid - the screen res is just too low for being of practical use..bit of a shame really

I've seen a few modders replacing the screen with the 1600x900 variations - but I'm noting that the posts all seem to be a few years old (like the laptop ).

Are there other options available now?

I'm happy enough to install adapters, replace cables...
