I upgraded my i7-3630qm to a i7-3940xm and my temps have gone during a stress test from a max of 75c on the 3630qm to around 95-98c on the 3940xm!
While playing games however it isn't quite so bad. When playing GTA V the max temperature is around 80c I believe and in MK X it is slightly higher at around 85c, but that is slightly more cpu intensive.
