Is it feasible to bring a gaming desktop on a bus to college

Any suggestions on how to protect the PC, this includes the monitor, mid tower etc. I was also thinking about getting a gaming laptop instead, but since a desktop is much more powerful and cheaper, I'd like to get the desktop.
