Cutting VGA Cord off of KVM switch?

I bought a IOGEAR 2-Port USB KVM Switch (GCS22U) because I wanted the 2 USB connectors for keyboard and mouse instead of the 1 shared, but forgot about the VGA connectors. I don't plan on using the display port at all, just need to be able to switch keyboard/mouse between desktop and laptop.
