Perhaps I'm missing the option somewhere, but whenever I plug in my headphones my volume remains at the same volume it was when I was listening on the speakers. So if I had volume up, could blow my ears out. And or vice versa, have volume low and finally take headphones off and then I have to bring volume back to reasonable level for the speakers.
