All I can say is, if you need a 980 to play it on Ultra, it better be impressive.

Wow, I was not expecting another 15" chassis from Clevo but here it is: Review Intel Sandy Bridge Quad-Core processors - Notebookcheck.net Reviews

But I don't understand why Clevo used so much aluminum for the cooling the CPU. On the other hand the GPU seems to have a dedicated heatpipe for its memory, that's a step foward. Overall the cooling looks weaker than on the W8x0CU series.

Official Sony Vaio Fit multi-flip PC Owners' Thread

Has anyone pre-ordered it yet? I've just placed an order today, for the 13-inch version in silver with i5, 8GB RAM & 256GB SSD. Got 4-year warranty for £0.01 and free Ethernet-to-wifi adapter and HDMI-to-VGA adapter. Besides, I got 7% student discount & will get further £70 cashback for going through Quidco. :)

I hope it doesn't suffer from the wifi issues Pro 13 had, which made me return it.

zBook G2 Owners - Alternatives to "Z Turbo Drive"?

Does anyone happen to know if there are alternatives to the Z Turbo Drive offered in the new zBook 15 and 17 G2? I know this is a SanDisk A110 2260 M.2 PCIe drive and really need 512GB or higher. Unfortunately I have had zero luck tracking down any other 2260 PCIe drives and hoped someone else here may have had better luck.

Thanks!

2015.02.11 Update: For those with similar questions, to save you from reading the entire thread, it looks like the interface in the ZBook G2 is a PCI-E...

XPS 14 UltraBook Owners Lounge

Just pulled the trigger, so starting a new thread.

Gone for the base model, and I will remove the HDD and replace with a super-fast Samsung 830 128GB SSD. I'll keep the 32GB mSATA to store a backup of my photos, music and programming code and whack the 500GB HDD into a caddy for external storage.

ETA: 16th July :)

Single gtx970M but desktop i7-4790k or dual gtx970M but laptop i7-4810MQ

Before I pull the trigger on which one I'm going to buy I'd like to ask your opinions on wether it's worth paying the extra price for the SLI, if that means I'll have to go with a worse processor.

The two specific laptops I'm talking about are the xmg U705 and the xmg P724.

The laptop will be used for rendering (both video rendering and 3d rendering), aswell as coding and heavy multitasking, so I will need both.

There's also a difference in the ports they have.
The U705 supports up to 3...
