Wow, I was not expecting another 15" chassis from Clevo but here it is: Review Intel Sandy Bridge Quad-Core processors - Notebookcheck.net Reviews

But I don't understand why Clevo used so much aluminum for the cooling the CPU. On the other hand the GPU seems to have a dedicated heatpipe for its memory, that's a step foward. Overall the cooling looks weaker than on the W8x0CU series.

Does anyone happen to know if there are alternatives to the Z Turbo Drive offered in the new zBook 15 and 17 G2? I know this is a SanDisk A110 2260 M.2 PCIe drive and really need 512GB or higher. It is around 6/7 months since the M6800 was released, and should be around 6/7 months before the M6900 is launched.

I must admit that the M6800 did not excite me, and I did not feel any urge at all to upgrade from my M6600 (which still works very well).

I have a problem.... I had a friend bring me a computer that was having issues. It would not turn on so I cleaned out the charging port because it was very dirty. It started to charge and the computer booted but would not load the OS. I can't remember if it gave me the white screen or the HD missing logo? Anyone who clicked on this thread knows what this is about. I'm trying to get a focused, large thread so Dell/Alienware can no longer ignore our requests for a fixed fan profile in their new laptop BIOS releases. It is unacceptable that one has to downgrade to the release day BIOS version and request a larger power supply just to get the laptop to run the way it is intended without cooking the chipset above 85*C.

UX32VD - iSSD not detected

So about 2 weeks ago I bought the UX32VD with i7 and FHD screen
As you know it comes with 500gb harddsik, plus 32GB Sandisk iSSD for speedy data transfer on windows bootup and programs frequently used.

However since a few days ago (not sure), the iSSD can't be detected anymore and the expresscache isn't running.

I also tried to check from the BIOS and the SSD were not detected too (only the 500gb hdd).

I just ordered a custom Spectre x360. When I was building the machine, it said it would be built by March 17th. After I checked-out, the final page indicated a 2 day build time. When I login into hp.com and check the status of the build, nothing is specified. Anyone know how to decipher this information?

Initial Impressions are good.

For M6500 owners its very similar, but because of the 16:9 it seems a lot wider.

Non IPS HD screen seems very decent.

Build quality seems to be as good as the M6500.

The keyboard has nasty keys compared to the M6500 and moderate flex.

I bought my P650SE last year and have been playing BF4 for a while. Everything works fine except for one thing. For 4 months, 4 BSODs happened during playing BF4 and windows debug tool claims that it is the SynTp.sys that causes the problem. As far as I know it's the driver for the touch pad. Hi,

my XPS died yesterday, all by itself.
I closed the lid as usual, but when I wanted to open it (maybe 30min later), I noticed that the fan was running, and the bottom of the computer was really hot.
When I saw that it was stuck (no response, black screen), I hold the power button till it shut down.
And now, impossible to bring it back to life.....
When I hit the power button, the led lights for one to three seconds, then nothing.
The only shortcut still working is holding D + power, then...
